A psychological and cosmic horror film that follows Clark (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a struggling furniture store owner who falls through a tear in reality into "the Backrooms" -- an infinite, uncanny, and liminal maze of empty yellow rooms. When he goes missing, his therapist, Dr. Mary Kline (Renate Reinsve), ventures into the labyrinth to find him.
